Platform combines proximity-based geolocation, digital portfolios, real-time translation, insurance, and secure payments to help micro and small businesses grow
Boston, MA — October 22, 2025 — A new app is set transforming how micro and small businesses connect with local customers across the United States. Zdo is a portfolio-style platform that brings together what many small business owners have long sought: visibility, trust, and security — all in one place.
According to the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA, 2024), there are 34,7 million small businesses in the country. Of these, about 7.7 million are owned by immigrant entrepreneurs - a group that drives local economies and represents an essential part of America's business landscape. This is the audience Zdo aims to serve, connecting service providers and local clients through accessible and a strong social purpose.
Created by Denis Silva, in partnership with João Antonio, Zdo was born out of real experiences from entrepreneurs who faced language and networking barriers when trying to expand their businesses into new markets. The app helps local companies reach nearby clients, showcase their services, and build relationships based on transparency and trust.
Zdo helps small businesses connect safely with local clients, in their own language — all within an inclusive and easy-to-use platform.
“Zdo was developed to make local business growth accessible to everyone,” explains co-founder João Antonio. “We started by listening to small business owners who told us they needed a simpler, safer, and more inclusive way to reach new customers. That’s exactly what Zdo delivers.”
The Zdo U.S. roadshow in the United States begins in Boston on November 3 and 4, continuing through New York (November 5-6), Dallas, Miami, and concluding in Orlando on November 11 and 12. The tour marks the official introduction of Zdo to the U.S. market, demonstrating how technology can drive both social and economic impact by bringing service providers and local clients together with purpose and efficiency.
Recognized as one of the country’s leading innovation hubs, Boston is home to thousands of small businesses founded by entrepreneurs from around the world. According to Boston Indicators, one in every three business owners in the region is foreign-born.
“Zdo was created from real experiences,” says founder Denis Silva. “When someone arrives in a new country, it’s not always easy to reach clients outside their own community. With Zdo, entrepreneurs can verify their identity, register their business using an EIN, create a portfolio with photos and reviews, and connect directly with nearby clients.”
The app uses ZIP code–based geolocation, real-time translation chat, and secure payments powered by Stripe, ensuring that funds are released only after the service is completed and confirmed.
“Everything is transparent, fast, and reliable — which builds trust for both clients and the businesses,” adds Antonio.
Unlike other platforms that sell leads or charge per contact, Zdo operates on an affordable subscription model — $3.99 per month (annual plan) or $4.99 per month (monthly plan). The goal is to provide technology and visibility at a low cost, especially for small businesses starting their journey in the U.S. market.
Privately funded, Zdo goes live in November 2025, with plans to expand to new markets after validating the model in the United States.
“Our goal is simple,” says Silva. “To make the work, talent, and entrepreneurship of small businesses visible, valued, and paid — with trust and security.”
